  • Purpose 

    The Senior National Account Manager will work with our key customers to drive profit and sales deliverables.

    Core Accountablities

    • Developing and executing a business plan with your customer which underpins the values and ambitions of our business.
    • Developing relationships across a number of stakeholders in your customers business including buyers, technical managers, range planners, project managers and senior team members.
    • Coaching other team members within our sales team and directly managing an Account Executive for your customer base
    • Regular reviews of ranges utilising category insight and market trend data to provide market leading category understanding
    • Developing wine product solutions and presenting branded propositions & activations , working in conjunction with marketing
    • Reviewing sales reports, planning and negotiating corrective action to ensure that you track ahead of targets.
    • Working with operational teams to ensure we deliver our Easy to do Business With ambitions with suppliers and customers.
    • Visiting suppliers with customers where required to include in depth preparation and follow-up
    • Ensuring alignment to the agreed ways of working and processes in the business unit

    Knowledge and Experience 

    ESSENTIAL:

    • Demonstrable, developed analytical skills
    • Strong people management, coaching and development skills
    • Ability to prioritise effectively
    • Good negotiation and sales skills
    • Highly organised and efficient
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills, confident, professional and conscientious
    • Ambitions to grow and develop within a rapidly expanding business
    • Exceptional Team Player
    • Demonstratable ability to develop strong relationships and credibility with the buying team and category manager
    • Considerable FMCG National Account Management
    • Advanced Excel Skills
    • Strong knowledge of commercial wine and the wine category
    • Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 3

    PREFERRED:

    • Multiple Grocer experience
    • People Management experience
    • Commercial wine experience
    • Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Diploma
