We are on the lookout for an experienced and committed Regional Account Manager to join our Southern On Trade team to take advantage of the potential new business this area has to offer for Bibendum.
The role is territory based and we are looking for candidates who live in the Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire/Hertfordshire region and have a real passion for wine and spirits.
This position is for a 1 year contract to cover an internal secondment but with the option to extend into a permanent role targeting new business around the northern M25 commuter belt.
Increase sales and margin across both new and existing business
Sell a wide range of products into customers and look to exploit any gaps or opportunities
Write and create wine lists and commercial proposals
Host formal and informal tastings and events
Maximise sales and marketing opportunities to drive through profit and hit budget and KPI targets
Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure processes and systems are maintained
Work collaboratively with our wine and spirits suppliers to drive sales and implement promotions and incentives
Internal: Marketing, Commercial Finance, Sales Operations, Customer Care and Customer Ordering, Credit Control and Supplier Management.
External: Maintain relationships with our wine and spirit suppliers and producers
- Good wine knowledge (minimum WSET Advanced Level or equivalent)
- Superb communicator and presenter
- Knowledge of business planning / sales budgeting / administration
- Relevant Sales Experience
- Negotiation skills
- P&L awareness and responsibility
- Time management, planning and organisation skills
- Business/Commercial acumen and cost management skills
- Self-sufficient and the ability to work independently yet within company procedures
- Full UK driving License
- Logical, organised and self-motivated approach as well as an eye for detail
- Demonstrable understanding of costing calculations and budgets
- Sound computer skills (especially Excel)
- Collaborative approach

- Target driven
A full UK driving license is required for this role and you should be available to travel both in the UK as well as attend regular meetings in our London office and take occasionally customer trips abroad.
